DIY Sushi Candy

This candy is so much fun! I didn't make the photos as nice and thorough as i'd like because i was soo into it. I found it at Candyland in Crystal Mall. When i checked the Candyland at Aberdeen, they were sold out.

making sushi 'rice'

got so excited i ended up spilling the red all over lol!

These were my favourite part! They look like the real thing and taste delicious.

This was a lot of fun. It all tasted pretty inoffensive. Like muscat. Actually the flavor reminded me of Aloe Vera juice. The rice part had a funny texture.

Good stuff, and most importantly FUN!

Laphet Thote

I went over to my friend Su's place one day and she made me some Lahpet Thote! (pickled tea salad)
Lahpet is fermented tea leaves, and a national delicacy from Burma. I fell in love with it soo much that she got me the special ingredients to this delicious salad.

Shrimp Cream Cheese Deep Fried Gyozas

Oh boy, this recipe is so simple and SO Delicious and can be varied in so many ways. You can even make heaps of these and store it in the freezer. They would make awesome holiday gifts. Frozen ready to fry appetizers to serve at your holiday shin-digs. I'm already thinking about the holidays because i needed something to fill the void of Halloween, and because i had a peppermint mocha latte from starbucks.

This is my first attempt at making these bad boys.

All you need are these ingredients three plus oil for deep frying:

1. Cream Cheese
2. Shrimp, or prawn... or anything else.
3. Wonton Wrapper

You can buy these wonton wrappers in the fridge section. I got this from T&T Supermarket.
Double Happiness! :Dx2

I chopped up the peeled shrimps to make more gyozas. Wet the edges of the wrap with water

I had extra wrappers so i mixed some jalapeno and cream cheese together with some imitation lobster. Also made lobster with avocado. You can do just about anything with this. Meat would be soo good.

Make tons of these and just freeze on a cookie sheet before placing them in a ziplock bag to prevent sticking. Now you have a bunch of these for whenever you want it.
wrapped one like a wonton. cream cheese almost exploded!

goes well with this sauce!

Miniature Cantaloup

This thing is small. Got it from Nesters Market. I could be fooling you. I could just have a mega-ipod.
