Creme Brulee Recipe sooo easy!

I love creme brulee so much. So much that one year, the girls at my old work got me a blow torch for my birthday. I love trying it at restaurants that offer it. So far the best iv'e ever had was at Sweet Revenge, and that's pretty much the best one aside from mine. Yeah, this recipe is all that and a bag of crisps!!! But i already knew that.

You will need:

  • 8 egg yolks (you can keep the whites in the freezer for future use)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • vanilla bean
  • 2 1/2 cup heavy cream (i use whipping cream)
  • blow torch (there are other ways to do this w/o torch, but its not FUN, so i will not tell u)
  • ramekins, or if you're cool like me, random dishes. i got these from daiso! the small ones make for great portion control.
  • baking pan
  • 10cups of FUN!

heat cream split vanilla bean til almost boiling. turn off heat. let sit for 15 minutes to infuse the vanilla bean.

scrape pods with knife along edge of pot, and mix with the cream. discard pod.

meanwhile, mix yolks with sugar

 assemble dishes in baking pan

slowly stir cream into egg mixturse. pour mixture back into pot through a strainer and divide into dishes

fill baking pan with warm water till almost but not too much to the top of the dish

throw into 350 degree oven for about 25minutes or until knife comes out clean. you know what i mean?

let cool. then keep in fridge for at least 2 hours. it tastes best a day after. even better the next next day!

throw some sugar on top and torch the hell out of it.

There are many things you can do with this recipe. Add cubes of pear or raspberries on the bottom. Mix with cocoa powder and chili. Lavender. Bacon.
